Glowy the Glow Worm

$325.00

I created this piece during the Mystery Box Competition (2024) by the Unfettered Supply Company. Artists were sent three steel frames to weave on, without knowing what they would be receiving ahead of time! Some artists created animals, or masks, or miniature worlds with their frames. I decided to create this sweet little Glow Worm named Glowy! I used neon bright roving and handspun yarn, paired with sparkly iridescent fabric for the wings. I added a white glass bowl underneath that contains two puck lights. Using the remote control, these battery operated lights will turn a multitude of colors!

Glowy is approximately 16” tall by 13” wide and 9” deep. Although he is VERY cute and could be used as a night light, I would highly recommend that he not live in a room where a child may have easy access to him. Glowy is a tabletop sculpture and can be easily broken if bumped or played with. He should live on a shelf for display only, with his remote nearby so when guests come over, he can show off his lights :]

Wherever he lives, he is sure to make a huge impact in your living spaces or home art collection!
