Creative Aging - Weaving Life’s Stories

January, February - 2025

A free 7 week program for older adults (65+) made possible by a Creative Aging grant issued by the Indiana Arts Commission.

Weaving Life's Stories is a 7-week weaving workshop designed to bring together older adults, offering a creative outlet during the winter months. Participants will learn to weave tapestries using lap looms, creating personal pieces that reflect their own life stories. Alongside their individual projects, the group will also collaborate on a larger communal tapestry, symbolizing their shared experiences and showcasing their new skills. This collaborative work will be displayed at the end of the program, giving the opportunity to celebrate both their individual journeys and collective creativity. This class will foster connection, creativity, and the opportunity to learn a new skill while contributing to something meaningful!
Participants- Susie Bennett, Cathy Contri, Judy Duffy, Fern Edwards, Genie Fowler, Diane Gaskin, Peg Greiner, Nan Hankins, Cindy Hart, Milli Hoffman-Patrick, Sandy Keaton, Linda Laffoon, Susan Nicoson, Carol Pabst, Judy Payne, Maria Luz Petrowski, Vicki Walsh
